The chart room is immediately behind the Wheelhouse. The main item in the area is the chart table which has a series of drawers that hold many charts, i.e maps.

Also in the chart room is an emergency soft-bed for use when the Captain or other officer is on duty for an extended time. Over the chart table is the radio direction finder which is used to determine the ship's position is costal areas. The accuracy of the RDF varies but is around 200 meters.
